How do you deal with racism?

I live in the UK and I would say Chinese people are a minority here.
I have never been a victim of any serious racial abuse, but from time to time I do get the occasional name-calling.

In high school, I have been likened to the grudge, called a chink and groups of boys coming over shouting "Ching Chang Chong" and "Ni Hao".
I know saying Hello is not particularly racist, but it's not like their saying it politely...they shout it and start laughing with all their mates. There is no need for it.

In the public, it's better; but still on rare occasions I get the "Ni Hao" and then (Laugh) - I don't even talk Mandarin, I talk Cantonese -_-, Ching Chang Chong and shouts of Chink or even get back to China.

Today, I was on the bus with my sister and we were sat near the middle and there were also 2 chinese women and their children sat at the front in the pram designated area. A middle aged/old man got on and started mumbling.."bunch of chinks" and shaking his head. He kept looking at them and mumbling on repeat

Racism just really angers me. I'm not a very confident person and I wouldn't know what to say to stand up for myself.

Has anyone else suffered from racism? and And any advice for dealing with racism?
